Player's Code of Conduct
Players must assume certain responsibilities if they wish to play ice hockey with the East Coast Eagles Youth Hockey Club. The Head Coach and the East Coast Eagles Disciplinary Committee is responsible for the administration of the Player's Code of Conduct. The East Coast Eagles Youth Hockey Club has outlined the following rules, regulations and guidelines that we will enforce and abide by, effective immediately. Please read and understand the following items so that you are informed of the current policies: I realize that school comes before hockey and it is my responsibility to keep my grades at a level that is acceptable to my parents; I will always respect my coaches, teammates, parents, opponents and officials; I will dedicate myself to develop good sportsmanship, teamwork and discipline both on and off the ice; I will always show up on time for practices and games; I understand that there will be some team rules set forth for missing practices and games; I will take the time to learn the rules of the game and always play by them; I will always leave the game on the ice and not carry it into the locker room with me; I will refrain from using profanity or negative gestures to my fellow teammates, coaches, officials and parents; I will not conduct or take part in any form of player initiations or hazing actions; I will abide by the rules of my coaches, the East Coast Eagles Youth Hockey Club and USA Hockey; I will be a player who respects the great game of hockey and will play to promote hockey to the best of my abilities; I will not place blame for a loss or a tie on my teammates. I understand that we win and lose as a team; I will not make negative remarks about my teammates, other players, coaches, officials or parents. I understand that breaking any of the rules and regulations may cause me to forfeit my player status for the remainder of the season. There will be no refund for any un-used ice times, tournaments or games.
